**Rooms Division Instructor**

**Responsibilities**:
- Deliver and supervise Practical Arts (PA) curriculum and classes
- Manage Academic-related activities (ie: Introduction, workshops, visits) and administration of Students’ assessments and performance in PA
- Verify, communicate and insert feedbacks, grades and absences
- Manage and/or coordinate academic-related events
- Develop new activities following the industry trends and local networking and deliver them in an effective manner
- Ensure that productivity and efficiency standards are met and dress code and hygiene standards are applied and in compliance with the industry
- Manage workload with the other members of the PA Front Office team
- Manage role rotation and individual responsibilities within the department
- Discuss on Instructor timetables with the Practical Arts Manager
- Support colleagues in their daily tasks for successful delivery of the course
- Maintain skills & knowledge up to date and in accordance with the industry trends & needs
- Coordinate the reception tasks including but not limited to answering to students, employees and visitors’ enquiries, handling of mail and cash management
- Advise Practical Arts Program Manager for initiatives, timetabling or other academic purposes
- Advise Practical Arts leader for curriculum changes
- Liaise with Operational departments (housekeeping, maintenance, IT, etc ) for day-to-day requests and support
- Assist the organization of students’ check-in in and check-out
- Manage the Polyright system (student and staff ID cards), provide room access, check card accounts and order students and employees name tags
- Handle company cars booking management on outlook calendars (bookings, key distribution,)
- Manage student and staff name tags orders and distribution
- Manage the cashier (Polyright) and the reservations system (Mercury)
- Work on any other specific tasks that may be requested by the line manager
**Profile and experiences**:
- Graduate qualification required in relevant area (Hospitality, Management)
- Master qualification desirable (but not required)
- Minimum 5 years’ international experience in Rooms Division departments
- Minimum 2 years' experience within Opera PMS
- Experience of working with Mercury PMS (but not required), Moodle and Lotus Notes
- Experience of working within an international environment and within an educational environment
- Experience with Moodle and Lotus desirable but not required
- Fluent in English and French (any other language is an asset)
- Flexible to work on Bulle campus when needed (driver’s license an asset)
