**Presentation**:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Laboratory Technician to join our team in the Laboratory of Stem Cell Metabolism, located in the Department of Biomedical Sciences (DBS) at the University of Lausanne. Our main focus is to understand the role of metabolism for neural stem cells during development, adulthood and aging. We also explore how lipid metabolism affects the healthy and diseased brain.

**Job information**:
Expected start date: April 1, 2024
Contract length: 2.5 years (with extension possibilities depending on the financial situation)
Activity rate: 70%
Workplace: DSB - Rue du Bugnon 7, 1005 Lausanne

**Your responsibilities**:
Responsibilities also include fundamental molecular biology techniques such as isolation of proteins, RNA and DNA, Western blots and qPCRs. Furthermore, good skills in maintaining 2D cell cultures, particularly mouse primary cultures are desirable.

**Your qualifications**:

- Essential requirements:
- ResAL module 1 and experience with in vivo procedures.
- Experience in mouse tissue processing, histology and immunohistochemistry.

Preferential requirements:
- Experience with mouse primary cell cultures (2D), molecular biology and/or

biochemistry techniques.

Collaborative Attitude:
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Organizational skills:
- Good organizational abilities and careful documentation of experiments.

Language Skills:
- Good spoken and written English.
