**What it's about**

In this full time position you will be responsible for supporting Partners Group’s sustainability office in understanding, digesting, and implementing global sustainability regulations across Partners Group's operations (corporate, portfolio, and clients). Your responsibilities will include:

- Serve as a deep expert resource on sustainability regulations, initiatives and frameworks, including but not limited to environment factors (carbon reduction, climate analysis, energy management), health & safety, ethical supply chains, diversity and inclusion, cyber/IT security, and ESG data.
- Support the Sustainability Office in corporate sustainability initiatives to ensure the brand image is upheld and we continuously ensure PG is placed in the best position for where the Board of Directors wants to drive
- Collaborate with compliance, risk, and client teams to support on legal texts which need to ensure alignment and regulatory compliance to the platform wide efforts and published policies/directives
- Ensure a platform wide process and controls framework to improve our auditability, risk management, and fiduciary reporting obligations
- Own strategic projects beyond direct legal assessment work that support our broader sustainability strategy. Proactively identify, initiate and implement solutions that align with our PG strategy.
- Support the Sustainability Office Head in the monitoring of sustainability initiatives and tasks across the firm, prepare and meet committee submissions such as the Board of Directors or Risk and Audit Committee.
- Contribute to the development of Partners Group’s responsible investing strategic development and presentations

**What we expect**
- Top academic credentials (Master/MBA preferred)
- At least 3-5+ years of experience in assessing and implementing legal requirements across mid-sized businesses from an investment, corporate or consulting role ideally within the area of responsible business or sustainability
- Solid understanding across one or more core sustainability dimension e.g. carbon, climate, human rights, cyber, etc with experience translating regulation requirements to a strategic plan that is put into action.
- Able to independently lead strategic discussions with investment teams, assets, clients while being collaborative across the team
- Excellent analytical skills e.g. drawing insights and recommendations from data, integrating ESG factors into investment and business analysis and decisions
- Familiarity with investment management and a genuine interest in private markets investments
- An entrepreneurial and self-directed person, able to manage effectively and complete tasks in demanding timelines and with competing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability and experience interacting with global senior level executives
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Word and PowerPoint
- Able to work collaboratively with sustainability team peers at all levels along with other stakeholder groups across PG
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English. Proficiency/fluency
- International background, e.g. experience working in international and professional environment
