Serpentine Next Creatives Fund I (NCF) is one of the new theme-specific funds advised by Serpentine Ventures (SERV), the European investment platform of Swiss Startup Group (SSUG), led by successful venture entrepreneurs and financial services professionals to build and invest in technology-driven ventures with main offices in Zurich and Berlin. Built up to encourage and accelerate the development of start-ups in the field of the Cultural and Creative industries (CCI), a highly promising field fueled by growing demand from millions of content creators and consumers, NCF invests in Europe and in the world thanks to its unparalleled international network and strong deal flow. To strengthen the NCF investment management team, SERV expands its capabilities by selectively recruiting and adding distinctive talent and hence, is looking for an Investment Manager at Director level.

Tasks

As Investment Manager, you are part of the Investment Management Team and take a key role in managing our lifecycle funds at SERV, dedicated to the NCVF’s investments, and directly report to the Chief Investment Officer:

- Screen and source start-ups and proceed with initial assessments
- Execute and lead the investment process together with a deal team and take an active role in the transaction closing itself,
- Engage with potential co-investors, internal and external experts as well as our legal partner to close the deal
- Support portfolio companies actively to help them achieve their ambitious visions
- Build up and maintain a strong network in the international start-up ecosystem, with investors as well as in the VC industry
- Leverage your existing network in the start-up ecosystem
- Collaborate with other SERV portfolio companies to foster value creation across the group
- Interact closely with the entire team at SERV and the SSUG network

**Requirements**:

- Team player with good communication skills
- 7+ years of experience in the start-up and/or venture capital sector
- Solid network in the field of CCI, and successful investment track record in the sector or achievements related to used technologies (mainly in audio-visual, art market, virtual reality, immersive media, gaming)
- You have executed multiple investments in start-up companies as deal lead and have ideally been responsible for the investment process before
- Able to work efficiently on your own, an independent thinker and with a clear focus on maximising the team's success
- University degree in business management, as an engineer or in a CCI related science
- Fluency in English, German and French is advantageous
- You are a driven personality and go the extra mile by default
- Ideally, you bring along a strong network in the Venture ecosystem
