Overview of Role

As a part of the Group Digital team, you will support the team’s effort in the automation initiative at a global level. The automation controller role is part of the Automation CoE (centre of excellence) and reports to the RPA product owner part of the digital team.

The primary focus of the role is to support the development of the CoE as the RPA initiative grows in the group (process formalisation and alignment, dashboarding, reporting and monitoring of the bots, etc.). In addition, the automation controller will also support the identification, development and delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in Switzerland.

Team Profile

Rothschild & Co is establishing an Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE) as part of the broader Digital Transformation Strategy. Based primarily in Zurich, the Automation CoE will work with our global business partners in Global Advisory, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Merchant Banking and the Support Functions to generate value through automation. The CoE will define our Automation strategy, provide guidance on tooling and establish governance. They will also drive adoption of automation platforms and establish best practices for their use, including empowering our employees to develop solutions that will enable them to focus on more meaningful work. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to build a new function from the ground up.

**Responsibilities**:
The Automation Controller will work closely with various teams across Rothschild & Co to support them throughout the automation journey.
- Designs and monitors dashboards to track bot performance and impact
- Develops training documents, job aids and provides training to those involved in the RPA initiative across the various regions/ functions ("local leads")
- Applies process improvement methodologies and tools to improve efficiencies, reduce risk and/or increase standardization
- Maintains understanding of Rothschilds & Co. systems, tools, business processes, and procedures to further develop process and system efficiencies

Additionally, the Automation controller will participate in the feasibility analysis, solution design for new automation implementations, developing use cases, and creating documentation to support each automation journey.
- Understands all the stages of an Automation journey. Interacts with business stakeholders to conduct high-level process assessments
- Understands end-user requirements, makes recommendations for solutions as needed, works with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements, and perform thorough testing
- Writes process design documentation for use cases that have been selected for automation
- Participates in brainstorming sessions with RPA Design leads to provide inputs for robotic process automation solutions
- Prepares and presents analysis, methods and results to non-expert personnel, management team and technical experts throughout different projects and processes

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or similar. Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Business or related field
- Certification in Business analysis
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operations or process consultancy
- Ability to understand a business process based on a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution while using business analysis skills as needed
- Knowledge of RPA technologies and experience in Agile methodology
- Preferable experience in working as business analyst for an RPA or Automation Program
- Experience with agile development and software development life cycle (SDLC) processes is an advantage
- English is required with German being strongly advantageous, French nice to have
