Lab Technician, Fractional Crystallization Research & Applications - Full Time - Allschwil, Switzerland
Join our Crystallization R&D and Application team within Sulzer Chemtech division in Allschwil as Laboratory Technician to help us take our customers’ experience to the next level.
You will conduct diverse and challenging lab work in the research and development field to create sustainable processes in the field of green chemistry and recycling. Your tasks will include preparation and calibration of analytical devices, lab management, execution of customer trials as well as supporting internal research and development projects.
**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:
- Execution and documentation of internal R&D project-related as well as client-related test campaigns in close co-operation with company-internal stakeholders, namely Crystallization sales, Project Management and Engineering, Process Plants, Test Center in Allschwil and the line manager of Crystallization R&D
- Management of existing measurement technologies to support ongoing projects including calibration, sample preparation and measurements as well as training for stakeholders
- Maintenance and improvement of test facilities, support of process design and lab management
- Occasional commissioning at clients’ site at home and abroad
- Responsible for chemical stock: disposal and storage of chemicals according to the storage classes and hazards
- Execution of additional tasks assigned by line manager
**What you bring to Sulzer**:
- Apprenticeship as lab/ chemical technician
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent English. German and French are an asset
- Capable to prioritize tasks, strong sense of organization, independent work organization, team and customer oriented

**Location**: We are based in Allschwil. This is a great growing place and is just next to the nice city of Basel, accessible via bus and tram.
