Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated research assistant to be involved in a research project entitled “The sources and impact of moral distress on Swiss junior physicians: A mixed methods study to develop a framework to foster resilience, ethical competence, and wellness in junior physicians”. The project is funded by the SAMW via the KZS Fund.

**Period**: Fixed-term contract for 18 months, starting mid-April 2023 (negotiable).

Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare study materials for ethical review and data collection
- Support participant recruitment activities, collect and analyze data, drawing relevant conclusions
- Be responsible for the progress and quality of his/her own research work and report progress regularly to the research leads
- Provide ready access to all data for the team
- Prepare, maintain, and update website materials with scientific information
- Draft publications and abstracts and present the results at conferences and workshops
- Prepare other articles, reports, and presentations for dissemination of results

Qualifications and skills
- Master degree. Applicants are welcome from a range of disciplines, including but not limited to: psychology, medicine, anthropology, sociology, ethics, or health services research
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and with interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Prior knowledge of and experience with descriptive and inferential statistical techniques and/or qualitative methods
- Well-equipped to work with data collection software (e.g. qualtrics, unipark, survey monkey) and data analysis software (e.g. NVivo, R, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of English and French or German, written and spoken. Knowledge of Swiss German or any other of the Swiss national languages is desired
