**About the role**
As a Scrum Master you're at the forefront of shaping our organisation to be more agile, and making a difference to Swiss Re.
Relevant work experience together with a very good understanding of the Scrum values and methodology, as well as Agile working practices are key success factors required for this position. Your talent to connect with people, combined with your engagement and ability to facilitate effective solutions will make a difference.
You will work with and guide two Product Owners, as well coach and challenge four Product Development Teams to be empowered to deliver work that has an impact. You'll also help our management and stakeholders understand and support Agile practices.
As part of your daily work, you will lead and facilitate productive scrum meetings, as well as coach and guide the scrum teams to improve their effectiveness and efficiency. You'll be removing impediments that the teams cannot, and will help them improve continuously to reach their full potential. Further, you will educate new team members on the Scrum and Agile values and ways of working.
For you, this role is an outstanding opportunity to coach and work with multiple Scrum teams and deal with topics that have impact at the most senior levels of the organisation.
**About the team**
You will be Scrum Master for both the Group Sustainability, and Sustainability, Emerging and Political Risk Management units. These teams lead the development and execution of the company-wide sustainability strategy and sustainability risk management, as well as the early warning, risk mitigation and thought leadership, enabling coordinated and forward-looking decision-making for Swiss Re.
**About you**
Education:
- University degree or equivalent
- Professional Scrum Master certification would be advantageous
Experience:
- 5+ years of work experience
- 2-3 years practical experience as a Scrum Master
- Very good knowledge of the Scrum and Agile values and ways of working
- Preferable some background and/or strong curiosity about sustainability and future trends, including emerging and political risks
Languages:
- English, written and spoken is a must; additional languages would be a plus
Skills:
- Self-motivated and confident servant-leader who lives: active listening, empathy, awareness, foresight, dedicated to growth and community building with outstanding organisation skills
- A track record of creating and leading a high-performing, self-organizing Agile team, as well as actively shaping and supporting a positive team spirit
- Experience in coaching and change management
- Facilitation, conflict resolution and relationship building skills
- Positive, "can do” attitude, and passionate about continuous learning and development
- Comfortable facilitating discussions and working with all hierarchy levels
- Able to communicate complex ideas and issues (written and verbal) in a clear and concise fashion
Software skills:
- Experienced in using Jira / MS Planner agile management software
- Strong MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills
