Lawyer US Fund Investments
Aufgaben
Ensure US tax compliance for private equity funds with appropriate consideration of risk, operational and tax issues / Ongoing analysis of US tax legislation and identification of impact on investments for portfolio management and investors / Analysis of distribution provisions in fund agreements and distribution allocation for investors / Analysis of international tax rules for PFICs or CFCs and tax reporting with respect to Forms 926, 8865, 8621, 5471, etc. / Analysis of debt and equity with respect to UBTI and other tax analysis required for private equity funds. / Analysis of debt and equity, income of a tax-exempt client (UBTI) and other tax analyses required for private equity funds / Analysis of clients' investments with regard to US tax implications / Investment-related advice to clients on the choice of US tax systems / SPOC on all types of questions for internal and external stakeholders / Monitoring of newsletters and directives from the US tax authorities (IRA) / In cooperation with IT, Implementation of regulatory changes in tools, processes and systems / Training and coaching for specialists and managers with the aim of explaining US tax concepts for professional practice / Collaboration in global tax projects.
Qualifikation
Master's degree in Law, Accounting or Tax / Qualified as a tax professional, or on track to become one / Professional experience in asset management with US tax or international tax, ideally with private equity funds / Knowledge of international tax returns and related US tax laws / Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously / Ability to coordinate tax-related projects / Time management skills / Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and Schedule K-1 / Extensive experience with calculating taxable income and fund allocations tax-related projects / Time and project management skills / Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and Schedule K-1 / Extensive experience with calculating taxable income and resource allocations for private equity funds / Knowledge of tax preparation software, IT flair / Ability to work in a dynamic environment and transfer knowledge and experience to the team / Team player and team orientation / Eloquent communication / MS Office, Excel / German and English.
