Job description

We are looking for a Factory Digitalization Intern that is motivated to significantly contribute to the factory development of our site in Switzerland to further improve and maintain our competitiveness. This internship is starting as early as possible in 2024 for a duration of 6 to 18 months and will be based at our global headquarter in Baden, Switzerland.

Reporting to the Factory Digitalization Project Manager, you will support the team to bring our factory to the next level.

With the implementation of a manufacturing execution system (MES) in 2021 we laid the foundation to become a digital factory. With your high level of motivation, willingness to learn and your ability to collaborate in a dynamic team, you will gain first deep insights in the world of industry 4.0 and experience what it takes to successfully implement a digital transformation in manufacturing.

You will be part of the business unit Supply & Value Chain Excellence and gain valuable insights in the design and manufacturing of turbocharging solutions for engines above 500kW.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop functionalities and tools in our MES system or triggered/used by our MES system to improve or fully automate processes in our production and/or offices
- Create dashboards and reports in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to significantly improve our monitoring and increase transparency of our production in operations
- Derive actions and actively improve processes in collaboration with the digitalization and continuous improvement teams
- Support the Value Chain Digitalization team by taking over subprojects and add value by bringing in your own new ideas

Your background
- Bachelor/Master Student in a relevant engineering or IT discipline with a basic understanding of production processes, manufacturing technologies and digitalization
- Basic programming skills (Python, Java, SQL, C#, VB,)
- Interest in problem solving and interdisciplinary teamwork
- Solution oriented, autonomous, and proactive working style. A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn
- Fluency in German is a must (minimum B2 level)
