**Background**:
The Biospecimen & Acquisition Management team (BAM) at Roche Diagnostics International is part of a global support team spanning Rotkreuz-Switzerland, Pleasanton-California, Penzberg -Germany and Tucson-Arizona.

The BAM team is a chapter within Roche Diagnostic Solutions which leads the acquisition and management of biological materials and its associated data to support our R&D activities. BAM collaborates with Roche Diagnostic Solutions (RDS) Networks to ensure that our internal customer requirements for biological materials are agreed to, via formal established processes, communicated to on a periodic basis, and met per commitment in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices, Good Clinical Data Management Practices, Quality, and Business standards.

The Biospecimen Acquisition and Data Manager will facilitate the daily operation associated primarily with the acquisition & data management required to fulfill service requests of biological samples.

**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Gather requirements, develop sample collection protocols, negotiate collection study contracts, facilitate purchase requisitions, and collaborates with vendors to acquire biological materials to ensure flexible and successful delivery in compliance with Good Clinical Practices, Quality, Business and Industry best practices/ standards
- Maintains compliance with BSM processes, including but not limited to the collection and maintenance of legal regulatory and ethics documentation, generation of an accurate and complete data set, and maintaining information in a validated laboratory information management system
- Assume responsibility for accuracy, quality, and timeliness of work within supported projects and responding appropriately to changing priorities
- Effectively interface with multiple stakeholders and/or internal and external clients to establish timelines and deliverables and meet defined project goals
- May work with other team members/stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
- Assume accountability for data entry into validated database(s), ensures that information is entered accurately and consistently, and according to established formats

**Must haves**:

- Msc/PhD in biological discipline or related field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience (**)
- 2-5 years relevant experience in research & diagnostics, pharmaceutical or medical device industry in laboratory setting or clinical operations (**)
- Biospecimen acquisition or biobanking experience (**)
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills (**)
- Excellent data handling skills, proficient with MS Excel, first experience with LIMS (**)
- Very good organizational, written and verbal communication skills in English (min. B2), German is a plus
- Very good documentation skills and demonstrated close attention to detail
- Self-organized and solution driven individual who can maintain quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
- Self-motivated individual who can maintain quality, accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
