We are looking for a highly motivated intern who is interested to work on different and diverse problem sets in Kistler's research and technology (R&T) department in the framework of 3-6 months. We are addressing students currently studying mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, electrical engineering or similar.

**Intern Research & Technology (f/m/d) 60 - 100 %**

**Main Tasks**:
You will support in current research & technology development projects, work actively in the lab on the enabling or implementation of new ideas or processes and provide the necessary documentation. A current choice of topics for interns in the piezoresistive technology group includes:

- Characterization of Si membrane-chips (MEMS) / competitor analysis for pressure sensors
- Analyzing boundary conditions / influence factors on a piezoresistive chip by experiment / simulation
- (Further) development of measurement setups for the characterization of Si-MEMS
- Basic packaging experiments for a new sensor concept
- Improved temperature compensation for a static force sensor

**Your Profile**:

- Enrolled student (Uni, FH) ideally with already completed bachelor’s degree (minimum 4. Semester)
- Curious, flexible, and social person with a teamwork and problem-solving mentality. You are used to approach problems in a systematic and precise manner and enjoy experimental lab work.
- Some experience in programming (e.g. Matlab / Labview)
- Basic knowledge in one of the following fields is of advantage: electronic measurements / semiconductor physics / microsystems technology / material science.
- Fluent in English or German
