**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the global management and enforcement of our trademark portfolio, including the development and implementation of enforcement strategies to combat infringing and counterfeit activities.
- Manage international team of paralegals and outside counsel.
- Provide strategic guidance to the company's product management, marketing, advertising, sales channel, communications, and branding strategy teams.
- Provide clear guidance and risk assessment to business teams on trademark portfolio.
- Direct, coordinate, and conduct legal clearance of new brands.
- Oversee and direct brand licensing initiatives.
- Draft and negotiate licensing agreements to maximize the company's brand exposure and profitability.
- Handle disputes and enforcement actions related to our trademarks or other knock-off goods, including negotiation, litigation, and settlement processes, collaborating with external legal counsel as needed.
- Draft cease and desist letters and other correspondence relating to infringement of intellectual property and administer resolution of these matters.
- Lead cross-functional teams on issues related to trademarks, copyrights, domain names, and other related matters.
- Lead internal trademark education and awareness programs to ensure understanding and compliance throughout the company.
- Offer practical assessment and support on IP items in mergers & acquisitions.
- Partner with and advise the Branding team on all matters related to brand governance and brand transformation.

**Qualifications And Skills**:

- Juris Doctorate or L.L.M.
- Admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction where company has active presence, including the United States or Switzerland.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in international trademark law.
- Experience in and passion for managing trademarks, with demonstrated ability to provide counsel on protecting intellectual property in the United States, China, and Europe.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to effect change within client organizations and matrixed structures.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Business acumen and demonstrated ability to partner with business.
- Analytical leader with creative problem-solving skills to balance risk with commercial objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team and develop people.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outside counsel efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management and all departments, subsidiaries, and international affiliates
