Biodesign Internship

**Your mission**:
The primary project is to identify and screen needs in different areas of the biotech industry (including bioassays, genomics, proteomics, etc.), so that we can develop new use-cases where Spiden's optical monitoring platform can make an impact. During the internship, you would be expected to:

- Work alongside Spiden’s technologists to understand the functionality of Spiden’s optical monitoring platform
- Collect information about unmet needs in biotech via literature review and expert interviews
- Use scientific creativity to develop product concepts which fulfill a market need in a way that makes an impact

This internship does not include hands-on work in the lab - it is focused on creatively developing and documenting new ideas.

**Your profile**:

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a life sciences field
- Practical experience with either in vitro assays, flow cytometry, genome sequencing, proteomics and/or optics is a plus
- High level of motivation and the ability to push new ideas forward when faced with roadblocks
- Ability to work on-site at Spiden’s office in the Zurich area
