**Title**:
Warehouse Associate & Driver

**Job Purpose**:
**Driver **To collect and deliver consignments as per required time-lines within Switzerland and neighboring countries within close border proximity.

**Warehouse associate **To perform various warehouse activities in support of the company’s warehouse operations.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

**Warehouse Associate**
- Accurately sort and place materials or items on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas according to organisational standards.
- Attach identifying tag and labels or marks information on shipping materials, items, boxes, cases or containers.
- Accurately identify and count stock materials/items bi-monthly and record the stock levels in the corresponding inventory reports. This duty also includes general assistance in inventory management as required.
- Report defective, questionable or expired materials to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Notify Warehouse Supervisor of problems that cannot be resolved.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat. Organise warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
- Label and prepare shipment assets, as well as cleaning durable packaging solutions.
- Condition and assemble thermal packaging in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimise warehousing procedures.
- Safely operate all the necessary equipment in work area.
- Wear the proper safety equipment.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations.

**Driver**
- Transport consignments in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable regulations
- Responsible for the assigned MARKEN vehicle which include:

- Securing of the consignments in the vehicle’s cargo area during transportation
- Interior and exterior cleaning to maintain an impeccable standard of cleanliness
- Assuring vehicle is kept in a safe operating condition at all times by:

- Conducting of regular vehicle checks
- Adhering to the vehicle maintenance plan
- Assist clients at collection and delivery with loading and unloading.
- Route plan calculation that allows for collections and deliveries within required timelines.
- Communicate with the MARKEN Dispatch team regarding:

- Consignment Collections
- Consignment Deliveries
- Delays
- Discrepancies
- Communicate clearly and precisely with the client at collection or delivery.
- Complete all documentation accurately and legibly and pass to the correct departments on return to the office. This includes having the waybills signed by the clients.
- Follow instructions as provided

**General**
- Partake in all training sessions set forth by MARKEN.
- Adhere to all MARKEN Policies and Procedures at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the Line Manager or Branch Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Apprenticeship or equivalent
- Valid Driving License
- Good knowledge of Swiss geography
- GDP knowledge
- Security of cargo/load knowledge
- Packaging specifications
