As a part of the Formulation Department, you will be working towards designing and developing novel formulations of fat-soluble actives. In collaboration with a lab-head and technician colleagues, you will be responsible for performing lab-scale formulation trials within Innovation and Business projects using various technologies. Moreover, you will be responsible of physical and chemical characterization of the designed formulations. The challenge of this position comes on the one hand from the drive towards challenging the status quo and developing novel formulations and on the other hand having the flexibility of working on different projects that require various laboratory equipment.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Perform formulation trial of fat-soluble actives on laboratory scale using various technologies (emulsification, spray drying, milling, etc.).
- Execute analytical investigation and characterization of product forms and competitive products by use of various analytical devices and methods.
- Organize the laboratory and take responsibility for maintenance of equipment.
- Work in compliance with dsm-firmenich SHE guidelines and ensure these are well-followed in the lab.

**You bring**:

- Apprenticeship as chemical laboratory technician, chemical/pharmaceutical technologist or similar degree with experience (1-3 years), or Bachelor degree
- Experience in formulation technologies of nutraceuticals (emulsifying, milling, spray drying) and/or analytical devices (UV/Vis spectrophotometer, particle size distribution, light/electronic microscope or rheometer) are an asset
- GMP-experiences is an asset
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Good command of spoken and written German and English
- Highly motivated, solution oriented, well-organized, independent and collaborative personality
