- 100 working days in duration of 6 months**Responsibilities**:

- The vision of UN Environment Haiti is to be a partner of choice for the government of Haiti in strengthening national institutions, promoting the implementation of an ecosystem-based approach for sustainable development and facilitating developing partnerships to reverse environmental degradation and stimulate resilient economic growth. To implement this vision, UN Environment Haiti is structured around two fundamental programs and interconnected in the country, and has two offices in the territory. At the national level, UN Environment has an Environmental Governance Support Program, managed by the Port au Prince office. This Program aims to support the development of the country's environmental sector by strengthening environmental governance. At the sub-national level, UN Environment has a Sustainable Development Support Program in the Great South of Haiti which is managed by the office of Port Salut, main office located in the Department of the South of the country. The latter is focused on field work, the identification of good environmental practices, their implementation and replication with an integrated vision of regional planning and decentralization. The services of a temporary driver is needed for the office at the South/Les Cayes to carry out field activities. Objectives, output expectations and performance indicators:

- Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the temporary Driver will be responsible for: Provide reliable and safe driving services for the transportation of authorized personnel or sensitive equipment. The Driver must have a positive attitude towards the personnel and any other person authorized to be transported. He must demonstrate a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different nationalities and different cultural backgrounds. 1- Ensure a prudent and safe driving service: - Drive safely authorized personnel and in the case of peace missions, transport goods, and / or transport dangerous or sensitive goods;
- Ensure the distribution and collection of mail, documents and others;
- Meet with official staff at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required. 2. Adequately use the vehicles: - Correct and daily maintenance of the log books;
- Participation in the preparation of vehicle maintenance planning and reports on the maintenance carried out. 3. Maintain the assigned vehicle daily by proceeding: - Oil change;
- Checking the condition of the battery, water, brakes and tires etc.;
- Minor repairs and organization of major repairs, - Keeping the vehicle in good condition. 4. Ensure the availability of documents and spare parts: - Vehicle insurance;
- Vehicle documents;
- City and country map;
- First aid kit ;
- Spare parts required. 5. Ensure that all actions as provided for by the rules and regulations of the organization are taken immediately in the event of an accident.
- Qualifications/special skills
- Driving license is required Secondary education is required Passing the driving test given and authorized by UNOPS officials is an asset. Two (2) years of experience as a driver is required and a good track record of driving an asset; Knowledge of traffic laws and ability to carry out minor car repairs.

- Excellent command of oral and written Creole is mandatory. Good knowledge of French is required.
