The HR Coordinator helps organize, coordinate and carry out all human resource department projects and processes. Works directly with and assist the Senior Management Team to fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks. The Human Resources Coordinator must track and maintain all employee and independent contractor data (contact information, earning rates, absences, promotions etc.)therefore, strong computer and clerical skills are a must. The Human Resources Coordinator also helps maintain positive employee relations and work to ensure worker satisfaction through education of HR policies and by fostering a positive work environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Taking care of crew and Head of departments on board
Direct contact for Hotel Managers on board
- Co-responsible for manning and scheduling the crew and Head of departments
- Co-responsible for crew-related decisions on board and off board
- Supporting the Hotel Manager with various HR-related administrative tasks, in particular vacation schedule and disciplinary actions
- Training the Hotel Manager in HR topics (performance management, disciplinary actions, accident & health insurance, effective communication, etc.)
- Sending, collecting and correct handling of contract documents
- Correct handling and registration in case of accidents, and sickness of crew on board or in vacation
- Organizing and monitoring visa of Non-EU-crew
- Organizing travel arrangements for crew arriving on and departing from the vessels Organizing transfers of crew members between vessels during the season
- Visiting crew on board
- Keeping the crew data up to date in the HR program
- Preparing and checking monthly salaries of the crew Corresponding with authorities and agencies
- Writing reference letters and work confirmations for crew and Head of departments at the end of the season
**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Comfortable working in a highly visible role
- Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking
- Good time-management
- Positive and personable
- Strong stress management and communication skills (both oral and written )
- Excellent collaborator
- Attentive listener
- Able to follow directions accurately and without hesitation
- Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed
- HR competence and knowledge of HR processes and computer programs
- HR software and HRIS databases
- Understanding, empathetic and relatable
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility & accountability
- Admin and coordinator experience
- High School or GED equivalent required 2 + years relevant experience in HR work Strong skills using Microsoft Office
- Reliable people-person who enjoys working with a diverse range of individuals and puts employee requirements and needs first
