The Division of Clinical Radiology of the Vetsuisse-Faculty University of Bern offers a three-year residency position. It includes 36 months of supervised clinical training at the Vetsuisse Faculty, 4 weeks of externship at another imaging center, and 6 weeks of vacation per year. The remaining time is reserved for research and exam preparation.

Team and facilities:
The Division of Clinical Radiology consists of 6 board-certified radiologists (4.9 FTE), 3

residents (including 1 resident in an alternative program), 3 doctoral students, and 3.5 radiographers that all contribute to maintain a high-quality clinical service for both, small and large animal patients. On-site imaging equipment includes 2 small animal radiography units (one with DSA and fluoroscopy), one large animal radiography unit, a CT (Philips Brilliance 16), a cone-beam CT (O-armTM system with software for image-guided interventions), two ultrasound machines (small animals: GE logiq 9; large animals: GE S8) and a 3T-MRI unit (Siemens Vida).

**Duties**:
The resident will be trained and work under the supervision of Diplomats of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and follow our approved residency program. The resident is expected to participate in all clinical work in the division and the emergency service for the small animal clinic and supervise and teach undergraduate veterinary students.

Qualifications:
The applicant must have a veterinary degree that is recognized in Switzerland and have completed a minimum of one year in a recognized general clinical training program (internship) or satisfactory veterinary practice equivalent of a minimum of two years. The applicant must have a strong ambition to become a specialist in veterinary diagnostic imaging and take the examinations for the European Diploma in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.
