Job Purpose
This is a key financial management role responsible for overseeing and managing statutory financial activities within COFCO’s Swiss operations, which is also a Global HQ. This position requires a strong understanding of Swiss financial regulations, tax laws, and business practices.
**Responsibilities**:
**Financial Reporting**:
Perform monthly close timely and accurately in compliance with IFRS Swiss GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Work with auditors to facilitate the annual audit process to meet group requirements and local statutory requirements.
**Tax Compliance**:
Stay current with Swiss tax regulations and ensure compliance with local tax laws.
Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position.
Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax filings.
**Internal Control**:
Identify and assess financial risks associated with the Swiss operations.
Be the owner of the legal entity’s risk control matrix (RCM) and ensure RCM is timely updated with process owners and control owners.
Ensure compliance with other global internal control procedures.
**Compliance and Legal**:
Ensure compliance with all relevant Swiss laws and regulations.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adjust financial practices accordingly.
**Financial Systems and Processes**:
Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement best practices in financial management.
**Business Partnering**:
Collaborate with other departments to prepare the annual budget, provide financial insights, and support strategic decision-making,
Act as a key liaison between the Swiss operations and the global finance team.
Provide guidance and instructions to finance shared-service center as their primary local contact
**Requirements**:
Degree in Finance or accounting, relevant professional certifications (such as CPA, CA or ACCA, etc.);
Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles (more than 6 years in a similar role, or extensive accounting experience in tax, pension, fair value measurement, financial instruments, and foreign exchange);
Deep understanding of the Swiss financial and regulatory landscape;
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft products, and other financial software and/or BI tools;
Fluent in French and English proficiency is a must;
Detail-oriented;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also crucial for this role, given the need to collaborate with various stakeholders both within and outside the organization;
Work with department heads to understand the drivers of SG&A expenses;
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures;
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management;
Assist in special projects related to cost reduction or process improvement.
