**About H55**

As the technological spin-off of** Solar Impulse**, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55, is to **make aviation clean, safe, and affordable**.

The company’s strengths and competencies lie in developing **propulsion and energy storage solutions** which are **modular, lightweight, and certifiable**.

Having integrated and flown 4 electric airplanes, the Swiss start-up has been selected by Pratt & Whitney Canada to provide the battery pack for its regional hybrid-electric flight demonstrator. This recent announcement is a further illustration of H55’s position as a **major enabler in the electric commuter market.**

H55 is financed by a reputable group of investors from Silicon Valley and Switzerland, and as such, is well positioned for its next stage of its development. The company’s short-term priorities include building up out of engineering team, putting into place production facilities, and creating a north American subsidiary.

**Your Role**

To support the growth of our supply chain activities, we are hiring a new Operational Buyer.

In this role, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager.

In this role, you will support H55’s day-to-day purchasing activities for project and production needs.

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

- Create purchase orders related to quotations for purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery target
- In cooperation with strategic purchasing monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
- Manage goods receipt with incoming - inspection - conditioning - labeling - storage.
- Alert and escalate all related risks and issues to H55 leadership.

**Experience**

You will have a proven track record in purchasing focused industries such as automotive, power electronics or aeronautics.

Specifically, this includes:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in operational supply chain / purchasing,

**Your Profile**
- Proven negotiation and communication skills with external and internal partners.
- Being comfortable in dealing with suppliers and contractors from a global supply chain.
- Capable to work as a team player and to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
- Fluent in English (written and oral) and French (oral).
