Sr Director, EHS Global Head Safety

**EH&S Summary**
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President, EH&S, this role is responsible for developing and implementing programs and plans to manage safety risks and to foster the culture of the company to value safety. It is also responsible as single point of contact for EHS outside US operations, including offices, laboratories and manufacturing sites.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
**Environmental Health and Safety **Activities**:

- Assess and manage risks associated with the various safety aspects across the company. Develop technical standards and SOP’s as needed.
- Develop risk assessment processes and ensure they are implemented and maintained.
- Foster a culture that values safety by providing training, coaching and leadership to the management teams at various levels across the company.
- Lead the review of capital projects for all expansion activities outside the USA.
- Provide support to all OUS operations, ensure they have the programs, people and processes needed to ensure a compliant and safe operation that meets or exceeds Moderna standards.
- Develop supporting policies and technical standards as needed to maintain and improve safety performance of the company.

**Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table**:

- 20+ years EHS experience, must be knowledgeable of EHS programs, laws, and regulations, experience in a multi-national environment a plus
- Experience with deployment, governance or leadership of safety programs
- Expertise in developing clear, concise and effective procedures and standards,
- Willingness to travel to sites as needed and provide hands-on assistance and share practices to improve performance.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions in a rapidly changing environment, one that is growing quickly and adapting to new/changing conditions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with limited direction and able to pivot to adjust workload or work style based upon business needs.
- Strong leadership / team building skills / effective interpersonal communication skills are needed in this role to drive collaboration and adoption by the various teams across the company.
