Die Fakultät für Psychologie ist eine der sieben Fakultäten der ältesten Universität in der Schweiz. Mit unseren Schwerpunkten Society & Choice und Health & Interventions sind wir in Forschung und Studium national und international erfolgreich.

An der Fakultät für Psychologie der Universität Basel ist auf das Herbstsemester 2024 oder nach Vereinbarung eine Tenure Track Assistenzprofessur Digital Lives zu besetzen.

**Ihre Aufgaben**

Die zu besetzende Professur führt exzellente Forschung im Bereich der Digitalisierung durch und bietet Lehre (4 Semesterwochenstunden) im Bachelorstudium und Masterstudium an (z.B. Kognitionswissenschaft, Motivationspsychologie). Sie leistet durch Studien, Publikationen und Drittmitteleinwerbung einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Profilierung des neuen Forschungsschwerpunkts Society & Choice.
Digitalisierung und künstliche Intelligenz haben nicht nur weitreichende Auswirkungen auf Wirtschaft, Gesellschaft und Politik, sondern auch auf das individuelle und zwischenmenschliche Erleben und Verhalten. Sie verändert menschliches Konsumverhalten, soziale Interaktionen und wie Menschen diese subjektiv erleben. Digitalisierung hat einen grossen Einfluss auf unser Bildungssystem und wie Lernen in Zukunft gestaltet wird. Die geplante Professur fokussiert auf die psychologischen Aspekte der Digitalisierung, wie Menschen die Digitalisierung wahrnehmen, wie sie mit der zunehmenden Digitalisierung von Prozessen umgehen und wie die Digitalisierung für die Bedürfnisse von Menschen gestaltet werden kann. Mögliche Forschungsthemen der Professur können in einem der folgenden vier Bereiche der digitalen Psychologie liegen: Human-Computer Interaction (z.B. user/player experience, software usability), digitale Transformation von Entscheidungsverhalten (z.B. digitale Entscheidungshilfen), Online-Kommunikation (z.B. Social Media) oder digitalen Bildung (z.B. individualisiertes Lernen, gamification). Mit einem Fokus auf die Digitalisierung in der Psychologie etabliert die geplante Professur ein eigenes Forschungsprogramm und schafft zahlreiche Anknüpfungspunkte zu fakultären, universitären und regionalen Einheiten bzw. Unternehmen.

**Ihr Profil**

Gesucht wird eine Persönlichkeit, die am Standort Basel psychologische Forschung und Lehre im Bereich der Digitalisierung aufbauen und weiterentwickeln kann. Kandidat*innen haben umfangreiche Forschungserfahrung in einem oder mehreren der oben skizzierten Bereiche der Digitalen Psychologie, zeichnen sich durch ausgezeichnete internationale Publikationen aus und verfügen über Erfahrungen im Einwerben kompetitiver Drittmittel. Kandidat*innen haben zudem auf dem Niveau Bachelor und/oder Master erfolgreich universitäre Lehrveranstaltungen gehalten. Die Professur Digital Lives soll der Fakultät für Psychologie in Forschung und Lehre Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten bieten und für Studierende und Absolvierende den Zugang zu einem attraktiven Forschungs
- und Arbeitsmarkt eröffnen. Die Bereitschaft zur engagierten Lehre und zur aktiven Mitarbeit in der akademischen Selbstverwaltung sowie zur kooperativen Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der Fakultät und Universität wird erwartet.
