Description
The R&D Director will be responsible for providing leadership for the EMEA R&D SH E2E Development teams.
Responsible for the Skin Health & Beauty innovation and LCM pipeline in the region, driving profitability, adapting products to local consumer & costumer needs. Develop strong collaboration with global R&D Hubs and external development partnerships especially for innovation of regional brands.
Develop strong partnerships with other leaders in the organization such as Marketing, Regulatory, Packaging, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and Deliver the end-to-end pipeline for skin health and beauty enabling the business strategy through innovative solutions for our consumers, customers, and planet
- Lead role in R&D for technical problem resolution and project success criteria, demonstrating superior technical formulation knowledge and processes.
- Deliver science that sells assets and expertise to support flawless execution in the market.
- Lead a team of managers and scientists, driving their talent and development agenda
- Understands the research landscape and leverages internal and external networks to access new scientific technologies, that enable a fast and agile go to market model. Anticipates competitor activities, regulatory developments, sustainability trends to ensure that pipeline and portfolio, is robust and competitive in terms of performance, claims and cost, which meets the requirement of the business and consumers’ needs
- Ensure all processes and activities are compliant with company policies and applicable external regulations/laws. Provide and nurture the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and compliance.
- Manage full Skin Health R&D development budget.

Executes the regional RD SH strategy for short & long term, which is consumer centric, E2E, sustainable, high quality and compliant. Works closely to Global R&D Hubs and external partners to deliver the regional pipeline (Adapt market).

Develops budgets, progress reports and portfolio management procedures that articulate clear criteria for the adoption, continuation, and termination of projects

Drives and implements talent strategies on hiring, promotions, pay adjustments, performance appraisals, and other people-related decisions

Works closely with commercial and cross functional leaders to ensure alignment and prioritization around Innovation strategy, portfolio management, resources, and budgets.
