You will:

- Lead the development of the company products for the datacom market based on the photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
- Support proof of concept demonstrations, lab testing, and field trial testing
- Manage internal and external R&D projects, closely interact with the PIC part of our team and our customers.
- Help us grow the company and grow with us.

Technical expertise:

- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Physics/Optics/Photonics or related fields
- 5+ years industrial experience in telecom or datacom
- Fundamental understanding of incoherent and coherent optical transport systems, modules, and components, including optical transceivers, line systems, tunable lasers, MZ modulators, photodetectors, trans-impedance amplifiers, and EDFAs, coherent digital signal processing.
- Strong competence in the development of optical communication hardware including electrical, mechanical and optical design.
- Hands-on competence with high-capacity optical data links
- Excellent knowledge of the modern field and market of optical communications, technologies used, major players and market segmentation.
- Experience with computer simulations of communication systems in the optical physical layer
- Knowledge of silicon photonics is a strong plus.
- Experience with patent writing and development of the IP strategy.
