**Job Description Summary**: Join our team as a Commissioning Manager. The Commissioning Manager plays an instrumental role during the commissioning phase of the project. In this capacity you are in-charge of the complete execution of commissioning activities onsite from quality standard and plan, time schedule, major packages hand over from Erection to commissioning, vendors/suppliers/subcontractors management, Client Co-ordination/ interface, status of documentation. Commissioning protocols, technical skills to perform tests at site, schedule and cost control, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) plan, site manpower plan, applicable local regulations, restrictions.

This is an exciting role as it is based on site and will report functionally to the Commissioning Leader and operationally to Site Manager. In addition, upon completion of each project, you will travel to project sites in respective region.

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

- Establish site commissioning planning for manpower resources, mobilization, document control system for commissioning protocols and tools right through to package handover
- Drive GE’s EHS Policy and the site EHS plan, this includes ensuring safety preparations as required by the commissioning tests such as lock out and tag out (LOTO).
- Ensure all Commissioning milestones (such as on time delivery and Say-Do ratio) are in accordance to agreed schedule.
- Manage subcontracts / subcontractors, site schedule, contractual site tests, progress of works and cost. Conduct daily and weekly meetings with GE staff and subcontractors
- Partner with the teams made up of the client site representatives as well as internal teams made up of erection and engineering to ensure milestones are met and “closing” the site with mínimal punch point
- Responsible to provide feedback progress to Head Office as well as submit weekly and/or monthly progress reports to the Commissioning Leader
- Handing over the power plant equipment to client as well as all the protocols and final settings to Client (as per contract) & Head Office (HO) (Commissioning head).
- Experience of Hydro powerplant Commissioning. Sound knowledge of Hydro turbines. Soft skills to motivate the team and get work done.
- Capable of planning independently the total commissioning activity. And manage required resources tools for commissioning.
- Taking of packages from installation to commissioning and make note of all the pending activities and initiate actions to complete the same.
- Coordinate with team for preparing red mark drawings and close the punch points with proper action plan.
- Make presentations to client for work progress and grid requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or relevant experience
- Extensive experience in power plants, its systems and sub-systems;
- Demonstrate a strong EHS culture/mindset
- Good understanding of electro-mechanical systems;
- Sound knowledge of hydro plant commissioning sequences.
- Ability to multitask and shift between many different projects and initiatives with tight deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently as well as with cross functional teams and stakeholders (such as Project Management, Engineering, Finance, EHS, HR.);
- Ability to comply with mandatory requests on time, such as: trainings, timesheets, expense reports, daily reports
