As a Master Planner located in Visp, Switzerland you will have overall responsibility for production scheduling and planning for a production site using advanced planning systems in collaboration with a multi-functional team. You will ensure that supply plans are created in close collaboration with the S&IOP Manager and ensure supply plans are properly transformed into production schedules, involving all relevant stakeholders such as sourcing, production, logistics, controlling, customer service, etc.

Key responsibilities:

- Supporting Senior S&IOP Manager in establishing and executing procedure for centralized demand and inventories for all products manufactured in Visp globally
- Develop and execute inventory control methods and reports to assure accurate inventory levels in coordination with inventory planner
- Develop, execute and maintain tools as well as techniques required to evaluate impact of proposed schedule changes
- Coordinate plus lead usual production meetings to assess actuals in opposition to planned and convey changes or updates
- Plan, schedule as well as coordinate materials availability to assist production developed schedules in cooperation with procurement
- Actively participate to cross-functional projects in order to improve purchasing and production planning, capacity and inventory management
- Work in close collaboration with Production, New Product Introduction, Quality, R&D, Finance and Sales teams to support the launch of new products
- Optimize the utilization of the ERP and planning relevant system with production sites
- Implement and analyse KPI’s to better understand and monitor the production scheduling

Key requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or Business Management
- Significant knowledge of the chemical or similar industries and substantial experience in planning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interface with various levels of management
- Excellent analytical skills and a hands on mentality
- Ability to influence both Supply Chain and functional leaders to support inventory management/ strategy recommendations
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to utilise Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports
- Proficiency in German (written and spoken) is a must and very good communication skills in English
