HEAD - Genève is one of Switzerland's leading art and design schools, with an international reputation. With some
700 students, it offers a broad spectrum of courses at Bachelor's and Master's degrees: Fine Arts, Cinema, Interior
Architecture, Space and Communication, Visual Communication as well as Fashion and Accessory Design. The
school has also established itself as a major player on Geneva's cultural scene.
**Associated with the Research Project**:
- The Future of Humanitarian Design_ (HUD) is a research project exploring how emerging technologies, design, and
engineering can be combined with knowledge from political science to tackle the crisis facing humanitarianism.
HUD is a four-year Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) funded project focused on the challenges facing
humanitarian action: war, refugee flows, forced displacement, etc. HUD is a collaboration between the Geneva
Graduate Institute, the University of Copenhagen, the Department of Interior Architecture at HEAD - Genève, and
the EssentialTech Lab at EPFL Lausanne.

**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in the project’s planning and strategy
- Participate in the project's fieldwork, publications, and outcomes
- Teaching at HEAD - Genève, Department of Interior Architecture: studio, workshops, seminars
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary-level diploma in architecture, interior architecture or design (BA or MA in design) or equivalent
qualification
- PhD with ideally 2 years' post-doctoral experience
- Experience in spatial design, digital technologies, political violence and/or humanitarian design.
- Teaching experience in English (BA and MA level)
- Strong academic background and research profile
- Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
- Fluency in French, Spanish, Swahili and Lingala (appreciated).
- Solid experience in exhibitions and architectural projects would be an asset.
**Special feature of the position**:
Priority must be given to taking leave according to the academic calendar.
