**In short**:
As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a critical role in the success of our business by developing and implementing effective merchandise planning strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, sales, and finance, to drive sales, maximise profitability, and optimise inventory levels. Your expertise in forecasting, analysing market trends, and understanding customer demands will be essential in shaping our product assortment and inventory strategies.

**Your Mission**:
Demand Forecasting and Analysis:

- Utilise historical data, market trends, and consumer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts for various product categories.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales performance, market trends, and inventory levels to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to align assortment plans with the demand forecast.
- Monitor and adjust forecasts based on changing market conditions and customer preferences.

Assortment Planning:

- Work closely with the merchandising team to develop comprehensive assortment plans that align with the company's brand positioning and target market.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify gaps in the product assortment and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
- Optimise the assortment mix by considering factors such as product performance, price points, seasonality, and consumer preferences.

Inventory Management:

- Develop inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels while minimising excess or obsolete inventory.
- Monitor and analyse inventory turnover rates, sell-through rates, and stock-to-sales ratios to identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and operations teams to ensure efficient replenishment and allocation of merchandise.
- Implement inventory control measures to reduce stockouts and overstocks, including forecasting accurate lead times and reorder points.

Financial Analysis:

- Partner with the finance team to develop sales and inventory budgets, providing input on sales projections and margin expectations.
- Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, inventory, and margin to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandise planning strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations on sales performance, inventory analysis, and forecasting accuracy for management review.
- Provide recommendations for pricing and promotional strategies based on financial analysis and market trends.

**Your story**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in merch planning or product management role within footwear and apparel
- Proven experience as a merchandise planner or in a similar role within the fashion and sportswear industry.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Proficient in merchandise planning software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and financial analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- You have business proficiency in English, and other European languages is a plus.
