Job Summary:
We are looking for a positive and inquisitive HR Generalist who lives for streamlining processes and problem solving. This opportunity is an 18-month fixed-term contract based in Neuchatel, Switzerland in a hybrid working environment.

The HR Generalist will be responsible for performing the day-to-day human resources and organizational development functions including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, legal compliance and HRIS administration across Switzerland, France and other continental Europe countries we are operating in. If selected for this position, you will monitor the office pulse to be sure we’re living our values and staying on top of people needs and opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide both HR, administrative, and operational support to the various continental Europe locations, in coordination with CoEs and HR Business Partners.
- Be data savvy; effectively navigate Workday to pull reports, review, enter, and maintain employee data with a high degree of accuracy while identifying and understanding trends.
- Schedule and lead the facilitation of new hire onboarding in order to create a welcoming experience for new Semtech employees; ensure all onboarding documents are received, completed and uploaded into Workday.
- Assist with employee offboarding administration and conduct exit interviews.
- Bring ideas, energy, and insights that help us deliver world class people experiences.
- Be a trusted partner for leaders and employees as the first point of contact for various people processes including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, learning, and development, etc.
- Contribute to the continuous development and alignment of Semtech policies and practices across continental Europe to support our business growth and culture.
- Contribute to the evolution of the HR function through participation to various projects.
- Act as a champion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging amongst our growing local and remote team.
- Ensure we’re always acting in compliance with employment laws and regulations and partner with internal stakeholders and utilize internal systems to ensure compliance with ISO requirements.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Brevet fédéral in Human Resources or equivalent
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of French and Switzerland laws and regulations, other European countries an asset
- Fluent in French and English
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ensuring HR administration is up to date and accurate
- Ability to quickly build relationships and provide exceptional client service experiences
- Experience in analyzing large bodies of data and ability to identify themes and/or provide recommendations for improvements of HR Programs & processes
- Strong MS Excel skills are required
- Proven ability to use and navigate HRIS systems for data entry, reporting, etc.
- Workday experience as an asset
