**Position Summary**

The Nestlé System Technology Centre (NSTC) in Orbe is Nestlé’s leading R&D centre for the design, development and deployment of Nestlé delivery systems, offering expertise in machines, packaging and products for in-home and out-of-home.

As an **R&D Trainee in User Experience Design and Product Interaction**, you will work on R&D projects such as new products and services for Nespresso coffee systems, including machines, packaging, accessories, and digital tools (apps and HMI). It’s a unique opportunity to be part of innovative projects that could be added to Nespresso and Nestlé future portfolio.

**A Day in the Life of an R&D Trainee**
- Watch the trends in terms of UX/UI and product design
- Analyze the UX, ergonomics and pleasure of use in landscape of home-appliances
- Generate improvement ideas and make them happen on test mockups and prototypes
- Organize, prepare, and drive internal and external user tests
- Collaborate with different R&D functions and advocate for a user-oriented mindset

**What will make you successful**
- Student or fresh graduate in a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Industrial Design Engineering, Ergonomics, UX or similar field
- Demonstrate exceptional skills in end-to-end user experience design processes and tools
- Strong knowledge of ergonomics, pleasure of use, design by usage and interaction
- Very good use of design artefacts to effectively generate and communicate ideas
- Good storytelling skills with a real passion for finding new ways to advocate for our users
- Very creative mindset, autonomous, and user oriented
- Experience with design tools (Adobe XD, Illustrator ) and 3D (Inventor, Rhinoceros...) is a plus
- Fluent in English, French is a plus
