The Campus Development Manager establishes the Campus Basel as a preferred worpklace for colleagues, inspires onsite connectivity, exchange, and innovation and drives J&J onsite culture.
Reporting directly to the Campus Basel Site Head, the role is responsible for the development and implementation of the Campus Basel strategy, to promote the location both internally and externally and to drive employee engagement. The role partners with stakeholders in FM, EHS, GHS, Legal, HR and local Function Leads to ensure flawless site operations, planning and executing the annual campus operations and events, and ensure employee engagement. In close collaboration with J&J Campus Switzerland Office the role ensures alignment with the overall J&J workplace experience, drives DEI and Community Impact activities and oversees the local apprenticeship program.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Chairs Campus Basel Operational Committee & acts as PMO for ACSC (Actelion Pharmaceutical Ltd Campus Strategy Committee)
- Campus Head deputy
- Shapes and implements the endorsed campus strategy
- Close collaboration with the Campus Switzerland Office to ensure alignment with the overall J&J workplace experience, local implementation of Community Impact activities, DEI activities, Sponsoring activities
- Partners with HR, Comms and Legal and other stakeholders on initiatives impacting overall campus operations
- Oversees the local implementation of the onboarding and offboarding (new joiners, retiree program)
- Ensures local communication flow and management of local communication channels
- Manages coordination logistics of Swiss trainings taking place on campus
- Manages coordination of local benefits with local vendors (e.g. fitness, cultural, rebates)
- Oversees local campus communication and channels
- Leads coordination and organization of all campus events (internal/external), such as townhalls, summer/winter events
- Oversees implementation of local apprentice program in close collaboration with swiss-wide guidance and ensures implementation on site; represents J&J in educational board of the Chamber of Commerce in Basel.
- Responsible for Business Continuity Plan for the site and leads local crisis management team
- Point of contact for community, ensures active engagement with community neighbors and exchange with industry associations and local government officials
**LINE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Line manager of 1 direct report
- Campus Project Associate (80%) in Basel
- Oversees 3 -4 commercial apprentices
**Qualifications**:
- Strong leadership and people manager skills
- Ability to define a vision and interact with senior leaders
- Willingness to act as point of contact for local campus community
- Demonstrated ability for effective relationship management with internal and external stakeholders (external: industry associations, government officials)
- Familiarity of Swiss Framework conditions, Life Science industry in Basel Area
