Are you passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to supporting students with special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and compassionate SEN Coordinator (SENCO) to join an ISP school in Geneva, Switzerland

**Purpose of Role**

Strategic development of the school's Special Educational Needs (SEND) provision and oversight of the day-to-day operation of that policy with the aim of raising SEND pupil achievement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- The duties outlined in this job description may be modified by the Principal, with your agreement, to reflect or anticipate changes in the job, commensurate with the salary and job title.It will be reviewed in the context of the School Development Plan and Performance Management cycle.
- Put provision in place to ensure that progress of students with SEND improves relative to those without SEND
- Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities
- Work with staff to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning through:

- Assessment of needs
- Monitoring of teaching quality and pupil achievement and target setting
- IEPs, or Provision Maps, PSP, Pupil Passports, - keeping accurate records.
- Support departmental developments of SEN provision.
- Monitor progress towards targets for pupils with SEN.
- Analyse and interpret relevant school, local and national data to inform practice.
- Liaise with staff, parents, external agencies and other schools to coordinate their contribution, provide maximum support and ensure continuity of provision.
- Work with the Principal, HoS, teachers, support staff and pastoral staff to ensure all pupils' learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of pupils.

**Skills, Qualifications and Experience**
- National award for special educational needs co-ordination.
- Prior experience working in an English Curriculum School where English is the language of operation.
- Experience having worked in a whole school role is an advantage.

Pay: CHF70’000.00 - CHF74’000.00 per year
