Function Controller/finance Business Partner

The Function Controller plays a key Business Partner role though the analysis and monitoring of divisional and functional costs. As an interface with the relevant Functions the role consist of supporting and advising the Business on financial matters such as analyzing, budgeting, work force planning, system innovations, etc.
Key responsibilities:
**Advisory Services**
Be a key Business Partner of Function and Division Heads & Budget Owners and steer decisions on Function related topics
- Provide financial advice and support to decision making: advise on costs, consulting spending, FTEs, financial planning and reporting
- Build partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
- Understanding the cost drivers of the Function and provide insight to the non-finance members
- Understand financial opportunities and risks
- Lead review during Outlook and Target planning cycles
- Manage up to 4 Cost Controllers
- Propose and lead improvement initiatives
**Process Management and Financial support**
- Supervise month end close activities for the Functions
- Supervise planning cycles
- Support projects by setting and controlling budgets, tracking spend and ensuring compliance
- Support M&A and divestment projects as needed
Key requirements:
- Degree in a Finance related field
- Advanced years of experience in finance related functions and experience in international roles exposed to senior management is required
- Proven Team management skills is preferred
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively in order to explain financial concepts to non-finance people
- Solid organizational, planning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and general computer skills particularly with accounting systems (SAP preferred) and reporting
- Fluent in English
