**Position title**:
Director Accounting & Controlling (100%)

**Job description**:
We are looking for an experienced Director Accounting and Controlling as an addition to our Finance Team.

This challenging and diverse position will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
1. Ensure Accurate Financial Reporting:

- Oversee all company accounts, prepare all consolidations, while ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS;
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, including the preparation of external reporting for tax and statutory accounts as well as SEC reporting;
2. Collaborate on Audits and Compliance:

- Manage group and statutory audits with external auditors, ensure compliance with internal control policies and SoX requirements, tax regulations;
3. Lead and Manage the Accounting Team:

- Oversee a team of accountants, manage the accounts payable process and actively participating in accounting tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in daily operations;
4. Other Financial responsibilities:

- Financial oversight over subsidiary companies, treasury activities such as cash planning and main contact for our banking partners;
- Be the finance lead in our employee share participation programs;
- Be a sparring partner for payroll team:
5. Support Strategic Initiatives:

- Assist with presenting financial reports to executives and stakeholders;
- Optimizing processes and systems, and suggesting improvements for the accounting system and payables;

**Requirements**:
For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated individual bringing along:

- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business;
- Min 10 years of relevant professional experience in Consolidation Accounting under IFRS, and a strong technical background in accounting and controlling;
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing finance teams;
- Experience in working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel and Workiva / Wdesk;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Experience in a biotech / life-sciences environment is a Plus;
- Exceptional attention to detail without losing the overall picture;
- Able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
