In this role you will be responsible to adapt and implement the global sales support (Bid) strategy for the BL MS sales scope in accordance with the sales strategy. Ensure that the global team gives technical and commercial support for internal and external customers. Oversee estimations and bids and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB BL MS standards and targets. Proactively lead, develop and coach the global Sales Support (Bid) team. This position reports to
Global Sales Manager Marine Solutions Your responsibilities

**Strategy**: Creates, implements and reviews the global sales support (Bid) strategy and globally adapted procedures.

**Targets**: Defines key targets and ensures these are achieved for the sales support (Bid) team.

**Proposal preparation**: Oversees the preparation of proposals together with the team. Ensures all proposals follow relevant ABB BL MS procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements. Develop and adapt a global FCC used by all LBLs.

**Competitiveness**: Together with the team, ensures most competitive offers taking into account the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identifies which business model (single contract, consortium, separate contracts or feed-through) can be applied to better serve the customer, comply with local rules and regulations and give ABB the best competitive position.

**Terms and conditions**: Oversees the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer.

**Resource allocation**: Assigns and allocates internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation.

**Risk**: Supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions together with the team. Participates in project risk review processes.

**Customer**: Ensures support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provides technical support and clarification as needed.

**People leadership and development**: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. Your background

Thorough understanding of the business and customer needs
Experience in sales, key accounts development and management
5 - 10 years of experience in the industry, P+L experience and management of global teams is an asset
