**Responsibilities**:
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

The overall objective of the UNEP’s Economy Division is to encourage decision makers in government, local authorities and industry to develop and adopt policies, strategies and practices and technologies that promote sustainable patterns of consumption and production, make efficient use of natural resources, ensure safe management of chemicals and contribute to making trade and environment policies mutually supportive. It promotes the development, use and transfer of policies, technologies, economic instruments, managerial practices and other tools that assist in environmentally sound decision making and the building of corresponding activities.

The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is the strategic partnership between the United Nations and over 400 banks, insurers and investors. For over 28 years UNEP FI has been shaping and driving the international sustainable finance agenda, setting global standards and growing a global network of leading financial institutions. Through its work-streams and regional activities, peer learning, methodology development, training and research, UNEP FI promotes sustainable finance and helps the financial industry align with and contribute to the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals.

UNEP FI needs a consultant to support the summarizing and drafting of the different publications of this years’ tool demonstration working group.

Once the results of the working groups and the webinars have been concluded the consultant will assist in the analysis of the outcomes as well as drafting parts of the publication. Further the consultant will support the update on the climate risk landscape report and will play an integral part in reviewing feedback to enable the drafting of the final output of the climate tool working group.

Outputs of services:

- Delivery of a comprehensive summary of the outcomes, inputs and comments from the piloting phase of the tool working group and the associated draft report
- An updated version of the Climate Risk Landscape report
- Presentation and associated media materials for the release of the tool working group report

Specific tasks and responsibilities:
The consultant will:
1. Conduct bilateral conversations with each participating institution and vendor (as needed) in order to discuss their comments and outcomes of Phase 3.

2. Summarize the outcomes of each of the piloting working groups (for the tool working group), including the collection of findings and results.

3. Support the drafting of updates to the Climate Risk Landscape report.

4. Provide editorial support for the UNEP FI Tool Demonstration report on the climate risk landscape. Delivery of the created content for the UNEP FI members based on the individual outcomes by the firms and specified by portfolio sector, region, or country.

The consultant shall be under the overall supervision of the Head of UNEP FI, and report directly to the Programme Officer Climate Change. The final deliverables shall also be approved by the Head of UNEP FI.

Qualifications/special skills
Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with digital technology; ability to manage multiple tasks across diverse projects in an organized and timely manner; attention to detail. The consultant should have the ability to establish and maintain good working relations in a multicultural and geographically dispersed team. A hands-on, self-motivated, and pragmatic approach to work is necessary. An interest in sustainable finance is desirable.

Academic Qualifications: A University degree in finance, management, international relations, business, Administration, public relations or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years relevant experience and studies in finance, economics, sustainable development, communications, environmental science and/or international relations/affairs.

Language: English is the working language of UNEP FI. English is mandatory for this consultancy. Knowledge of other United Nations languages is an asset.
