Global Program Head Anti-infective

Proclinical are recruiting a Global Program Head Anti-Infective (PMO) for a biotech establishment. This role is on a permanent basis and is located in Lausanne. The client is focused on taking good care of both the planet and the people.

**Responsibilities**:

- Suggest and handle, with assistance from the project managers, the management of both internal and external budgets linked to the programs.
- Train, handle and assist employees to accomplish business objectives.
- Recognise possible concerns and risk, as well as develop, align and execute mitigation plans in a transparent and timely fashion.
- Collaborate with both international line functions and the project managers, in line with staffing of project teams.
- You will set targets, train and partake in the performance appraisal of the project team members, cooperating with the line-functions.
- Serve as a representative with the programs both internally and externally with goal advocacy of their transparent disclosure of their risks.
- Other duties may be assigned to this role.

**Key Skills and Requirements**:

- Educated to a PhD degree level in a life science field, such as microbiology or similar.
- At least 8 years of experience in drug development with a track record of guiding multi-functional drug development teams in anti-infective.
- Knowledge of end-to-end international drug development familiarity in multiple therapeutic fields which involves infectious diseases.
- Acquaintance in oncology.
- Previous involvement in project management with a comprehension of the needs for successful commercialisation of a new drug.
- Experience of R&D team leadership and management.
- Thinks tactically across drug development functions with the ability to scope and challenge their plans and deliverables.
- Knowledge in crucially comprehending both scientific and commercial data and in translating interdisciplinary project information into action plans.
- Familiarity with interactions with international health authorities and in dossier proposals for new indications.
- Capable of handling and training experts from various functions.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Business insight with a comprehension of the pertinent therapy area.
- Fluency in the English language with knowledge in French would be advantageous.
