**Lecturer Teaching: Theoretical Philosophy**
**100% (or according to agreement) **:The Department of Philosophy has around 80 employees, including nine professors. We are committed to internationally visible research and an attractive and broad range of courses for over 800 students.

**Your responsibilities**: As part of the appointment, attractive curricular teaching of eight semester hours per week on theoretical philosophy and, if possible, on the history of philosophy is to be provided. In addition to seminars on varying topics from the fields of theoretical philosophy and the history of philosophy, the focus of teaching will be on introductory courses that are compulsory for students (e.g., introductory lectures on theoretical philosophy, the history of philosophy, logic and the philosophy of science), as well as on courses aimed at strengthening students' hermeneutical and argumentative competencies and skills of academic writing. In addition to teaching, a commitment to further developing the courses and study programs offered by the Department of Philosophy is expected. 30% of the working time is reserved for independent research on theoretical philosophy or the history of philosophy.

**Your profile**: In addition to an excellent doctorate, you have a record of high profile publications on theoretical philosophy and the history of philosophy and to be willing to contribute with your research to the seminar's internal research focus "Normativity". You have teaching experience (especially in theoretical philosophy and in the history of philosophy) and strong communication skills. You enjoy university teaching and developing new ideas for teaching. You teach in German or English and are prepared to acquire sufficient language skills to teach in German within the first three years of employment.
