You would like to contribute your part to the sustainable success of Avantor? Then start with us as **EHSS Coordinator (m/w/d)** and take on the following tasks:
The position will be based in Basel for two big customers (60%/40%)

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Leads and develops topics in accordance with the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability and (EHS) organization for the customer.
- Serves as EHS point of contact for government, customer, and internal safety audits.
- Advising superiors about occupational health and safety (e.g PPE, work equipment, risks)
- Execute risk assessment (planning, implementation, and operations) for all site locations.
- Manages investigations of incidents, including Near Miss, Unsafe act/ conditions.
- Collects, evaluates, and documents best-practices at responsible customers and introduces them as appropriate for regional and international business operations.
- Develops, maintains, and coordinates the (standardized) Audit program for both customers; aligns with the overall European organization for ISO certification when necessary (45001, 14001, 9001)
- Supports the Country lead of EHS to drive improvement by developing and providing leadership, training, and resources for EHSS. Key aims include achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity, sustainability, and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Maintenance, preparation and or assistance of Onsite BCP/ DRP
- Onsite SOP System maintenance
- Implementation of Avantor safety regulations.
- EHSS Training of all On Site associates.
- Monthly evaluation and reporting
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**Your Profile**:

- Lab Technician with years of lab working experience
- Appropriate EHS Certification: The Suva Sicherheitsfachfrau/mann would be desirable, if not education will be supported
- Languages: German and English business level, any other European language is a bonus
- Knowledge of manufacturing, production, distribution, analysis laboratories and services businesses general and chemical industry is an advantage
- Working knowledge: ISO requirements, Swiss (European) occupational health and safety legislation, local governing agencies
- Independent, efficient, and accurate working style, role model and partner
