**Your mission**:
**Your mission **with us is to generateyeast and/or bacteria strains by metabolic engineering to support current as well as future projects.

**Your responsibility**:

- Design, construction and optimization of biosynthetic pathways using various metabolic engineering and synthetic biology tools
- Test metabolic and physiological performance of engineered strains
- Design and carry out experiments, analyse data and summarize findings into technical reports
- Actively participate in supporting, teaching, and learning from colleagues within R&D and Operation
- Contribute to the expansion of our technology platforms and product portfolio

**Your profile**:

- Master Degree or PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant industry or academic experience preferably in a small organization
- Solid technical experience in state-of-the-art molecular and genetic technologies including cloning, pathway assembly and chromosomal manipulation in prokaryotic or eukaryotic of microorganisms
- Solid understanding of microbial physiology and metabolism of yeast
- Experience using basic bioinformatics tools to support pathway design and analysis
- Practical experience with different yeast hosts is a major advantage
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry and lab-scale bioreactor fermentation is a plus
