At Nestlé Research and Development in Konolfingen near Bern / Switzerland, we develop for Nestlé worldwide new products, processes and packaging concepts for a broad range of products of our Nutrition, Dairy, Health Science and Coffee businesses. In addition, we also provide technical assistance to our factories.

As the **Analytical Food Scientist**, you will provide analytical and scientific support to site laboratories, science and product development teams, and operations. This includes developing analytical methods, supporting project deliverables, maintaining Laboratory Instructions, and contributing to lab strategy and digitalization efforts.

**A Day in the Life of a Analytical Food Scientist**
- Develop and implement cutting-edge analytical methods for dairy and plant-based products.
- Support implementation and improvement of analytical methods for different matrices and equipment
- Scout for new technologies and methods from suppliers.
- Develop expertise in protein analysis for dairy and plant-based products.
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap for laboratory development.
- Test and develop new standards for analytical methods.
- Contribute to the digitalization and automation strategy of laboratories.
- Provide technical assistance and problem-solving support to factory operations.

**What will make you successful**
- Master's degree with 5 years of experience or PhD in analytical food chemistry.
- Expertise in chemistry analysis of dairy and plant-based matrices.
- Specific analytical experience in food protein analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and method validation.
- Extensive experience in good laboratory practices and safety.
- Strong digital competencies for data leverage and presentation.
- Analytical thinking and highly developed problem-solving mindset.
- Strong networking and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
- Leadership capabilities, autonomy, and result focus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
