We are seeking a
**Lead Buyer **, for our client, a very important international industry based in the beautiful Mendrisiotto area.
**_TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES _**
- Material escalation management for better prices, delivery dates
- Supplier selection and material costing
- Support in prototyping and product ramp-up phases
- Supplier performance evaluation
- Lead time monitoring and update
**_REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS _**
- Deep knowledge of the SCM processes, whit special regards to supplier management, BOM-costing, operative purchasing, logistics, quality control and demand planning
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- Solid financial understanding (TCO-total cost of ownership)
- Advanced level English, German is a plus
- Very good negotiation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
