**ABOUT THE JOB**:
We are currently looking for a **Legal Counsel** (f/m/d) to join our Berlin office at CoachHub and our goal to democratize coaching and develop, translate and manage industry leading Learning & Development content. This year is a year of immense growth for our team worldwide, and therefore we are seeking a motivated, hands-on, collaborative person who keeps our legal team on track. This is a full-time Berlin-based position in which you would be reporting directly to our Senior Legal Counsel.

As Legal Counsel (M/F/d) you will advise and support CoachHub's diverse departments with your legal expertise. As CoachHub grows you will play an integral part in shaping the company through your sound legal and commercial advice. This position offers a unique opportunity to further develop your profile along your strengths and interests and work on dynamic and future-facing legal topics. **TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Draft and advise on legal documents and negotiate legal matters across the group, which may include:

- data privacy,
- trade secrets & confidentiality,
- Common law contracts,
- data security,
- commercial contracts,
- corporate matters,
- intellectual property, and
- Compliance.
- Negotiate, structure and draft complex commercial agreements with large customers such as Fortune 500 companies.
- Assist all departments with contracts as a customer or business associate.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders on compliance and risk management
- Support all members of the Legal and InfoSec team
- Coordinate and cooperate with external counsels

Depending on your interests and focus, the role could include the following tasks:

- Provide strategic legal and business guidance for different departments, such as sales and product development
- Advise on a wide range of intellectual property issues, e.g. relating to new and evolving services, enterprise products and machine learning
- Initiate and drive legal process improvements to support business objectives and new product offering risk review in areas such as open source software licensing and intellectual property rights clearances
- Identify trends and assist with best practice implementation
- Point of contact for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance queries and track continuing compliance with the standard
- Review and maintain corporate records and legal entity registers
- Provide strategic legal advice on all matters that impact CoachHub
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations for the software industry

**YOUR PROFILE**
- You have experience working in-house in a dynamic corporate or Startup environment, or in a law firm with a focus on IT and data issues
- You have a mind for business and the ability to partner with management to achieve growth and profitability goals
- You feel enthusiastic about working on multinational matters and together with a highly motivated international team
- You possess strong organizational and communication skills and you enjoy "translating" complex legal matters to diverse stakeholders (employees, customers, etc)
- You proactively identify challenges and help mitigate short and long-term risks
- You strongly identify with the mindset of continuous improvement and thrive in a dynamic environment
- You feel very comfortable using internet technology, especially Google Docs and MS Office technologies, as well as electronic signatures and ticket systems
- You speak fluently English and German
