**_ PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION_**

The Strategy Lead is expected to take a role in supporting the development of strategic plans and initiatives for Europe and Canada (EUCAN) to drive commercial success with associated key performance indicators (KPIs). He/She would support the development of differentiated commercial strategies and long-term growth strategies for EUCAN markets based on customer insights and in-depth market / competitive analyses.

**_ ACCOUNTABILITIES_**
- Provide thought leadership and support strategic directions to EUCAN leadership team based on market/competitive dynamics, customer needs and economic trajectory in EUCAN.
- Express opinion and counsel to EUCAN President and EUCAN Executive Team (EET) in discussions.
- Collaborate and align with a diverse talented team (Finance, Portfolio & Pipeline, DD&T, HR, GMs, and other functional leaders).
- Drive innovation with insights and deliver sustainable impact to EUCAN BU
- Liaise with Local Operating Companies (LOCs) as needed to support success of the business.

- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility with GMs and functional leaders to collaborate on the implementation of key initiatives

- Strong analytical skills to correlate data and information to help to drive EUCAN strategy.
- Consolidate and support communication of progress on the EUCAN KPIs on a regular basis

**Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities**
- Good knowledge of the pharma business, Takeda/EUCAN/LOC market dynamics
- Business savvy and ability to think enterprise-wide
- Strategic thinker, basic financial understanding, analytical
- Knowledge of business and financial planning process (MRP, MYC, LRF, brand planning, etc.)
- Ability to deal with decision making processes in complex organizations and generate collaboration and followership

**_ CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS & KEY CHALLENGES_**
- Proven experiences in business and strategic planning at regional/LOC level
- Deep knowledge in pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in leading and communicating complex initiatives/topics
- Deep knowledge in pharmaceutical industry

**_ ADDITIONAL INFORMATION_**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge experience is preferred
- Business knowledge, MBA preferred
- Fluent English speaker to ensure effective communication across the region, LOCs and to Global
- >5 years of standard-setting performance in this role or a comparable role
