Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

For our Laboratory Weighing (LabTec) division, which is the world's leading manufacturer of laboratory balances, we are looking for an experienced Technical Writer - Technischer Redaktor(f/m/d) 100% to reinforce our dedicated documentation team. In R&D, we create the customer manuals and service manuals from A to Z for high-precision laboratory balances and other laboratory instruments that determine measurement results on a gravimetric principle. This role is based at our global operational headquarter in Greifensee, Zurich.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

- Writing and editing the customer documentation for laboratory weighing instruments in English
- Working closely with R&D and product management
- You act as an interface between our development and the customer
- Creating all text, photographs and illustrations by yourself
- Working with general and internal guidelines and standards for technical documentation
- Coordinating timelines with external partners (translations, printing)
- Working with a Content Management System (CMS) and publishing software

What You Need to Succeed

Following requirements are necessary for this role:

- You have a degree in Technical Documentation
- You bring at least three years of experience as a Technical Writer
- You are experienced with CMS software (ideally SCHEMA ST4) and ideally bring skills in creating technical illustrations (IsoDraw, Adobe CC, Photography)
- Furthermore, you have the ability to think and act structured and have a solid understanding of how databases are thinking
- Technical English and fluent German skills are a must
