**Legal Director (M/F/d)**

For our organization in Dagmersellen, we are looking for a motivated, strategic and commercial Legal Director who wants to join our dynamic and international leadership team.

**Position purpose**:
In this position you will be responsible to proactively advise the Swiss Entity (market & factory organization) on all legal matters affecting its operations with the aim to achieve corporate and commercial objectives in a manner that ensures compliance with the law and appropriate monitoring and management of legal risk. You will assist the strategic development of the business and work closely with individuals across the company, advising on product regulation and other areas of law as relevant for the business.

You will be part of the Swiss Market Leadership Team and report directly to the Legal Regional Vice President working closely with the General Manager for Switzerland.

**What will you do - responsibilities**:

- Working closely with the Swiss Market Leadership Team to develop legally viable strategies fostering the company’s growth.
- Advising on all matters relating to the development, marketing, and regulatory aspects of the JTI’s product portfolio.
- Advising on a wide area of laws, such as commercial law, consumer protection, competition law, data protection, labor law, trade sanctions.
- Supporting in the drafting and negotiation of complex contracts while developing risk mitigation strategies for commercial risks.
- Managing all claims and litigations.
- Implementing and monitoring compliance matters, including conducting investigations.
- Developing and delivering ad hoc training in areas of relevance, such as competition law and data protection.
- Monitoring and managing external legal counsels, as well as planning and managing the legal budget.
- As Corporate Secretary, handling corporate secretarial duties and working closely with the Board of Directors.
- Working collaboratively with the Legal Regional Vice President and other corporate functional teams, contributing to global projects and initiatives as required.

**Who are we looking for - requirements**:

- Bar admission.
- 7+ years PQE, ideally in a top tier international law firm and in a FMCG multinational company.
- Business mindset, strong commercial acumen and problem-solving attitude.
- Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Excellent team player with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence others.
- International profile, preferably with exposure to multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop others.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German, other languages (French and/or Italian) are a plus.
