Our client is a leading and international institutional brokerage group, and a vendor of market data. Researching on how new technologies can be embedded across their activities drives their group towards a data-driven digital organization, and they have established a Data Science Lab with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. This was recently complemented by the establishment of a Data Platform Team, to develop new data capabilities. To support the expansion of their team, they are seeking a skilled Data Architect with expertise in SQL and a strong problem-solving mindset. In this role, you will develop and maintain a roadmap for data architecture solutions, collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements, and ensure our data is well organized, accessible, and secure to meet business needs.

Objectives and responsibilities of this role

**Develop, deploy, and maintain comprehensive data architecture, including data models and data management practices, that align with business requirements.**

Ensure that all data solutions adhere to governance and security standards by defining and implementing data standards, naming conventions, and data quality rules.

**Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications.**

Provide technical leadership in data architecture, guiding the development and implementation of data solutions.

**Evaluate and recommend data management tools and technologies that fit organizational needs.**

Create and maintain documentation for data architecture, data flow diagrams, and other technical details to assist in troubleshooting, onboarding, and training.

Required Skills and Qualifications

**Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.**

3+ years of experience in data architecture or a related field.

**Strong interest in the data architecture and data management landscapes and related topics.**

Experience in implementing and deploying SQL pipelines with DBT or a similar solution. **Experience in defining data vault and star schema models that aligns with business processes, in particular with business intelligence (BI) requirements.**

Experience in defining the data architecture framework for master data such as clients, products and employees.

**Knowledge of Linux and Python is a plus.**

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within the team and with external stakeholders.

**Excellent spoken and written English.**
