**Resarch Assistant**
**10-40% **:The Chair in International Management is part of the Department of Business Administration (Institut für Betriebswirtschaftslehre) within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Information Technology. The focus of the chair is on strategic management, in particular the challenges that multinational enterprises face related to transformation & renewal, M&A, corporate governance, and other top management topics. Research at the chair draws upon current theoretical perspectives from strategic management and organization theory (in particular behavioral theory of the firm, organizational learning theory, and cognitive theory) and employs quantitative, qualitative, and simulation methods. Research projects typically combine a strong emphasis on theoretical and empirical rigor with practical relevance. The chair provides a highly research oriented environment focused on creating the platform for an international academic career for its members.

**Your responsibilities**: As a research assistant of the Chair in International Management, you will conduct a variety of research related data collection tasks which require diligent, efficient, and continuous work. The responsibilities may include collecting or downloading data from databases, reading and coding points of information from documents or online sources, structuring existing raw data into a structured format. Additional responsibilities may also include reading existing written work (including slides) and making edits on such documents.

**Your profile**: A student on the Bachelor or Master
- level in Business Administration or neighboring fields.

Any prior experience in manual data collection is a great advantage. Automated data collection (e.g., web-scraping) experience is also relevant for this job posting and is an advantage.

Advanced knowledge of the English language (spoken and written) is required.
