As a Strategic Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement team for indirect materials and services in our Supply Chain organization, based in Baden, Switzerland. You will engage in both strategic and operational procurement activities, with a focus on building strong relationships with suppliers and internal key stakeholders. You will be reporting to the Global Category Manager of Indirect Materials and Services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze the indirect spend in scope and develop, update and implement effective sourcing strategies.
- Organize supplier biddings, and RFI/RFPs & evaluate results for supplier selection with the goal of maximizing value generation.
- Analyze the market, follow up trends, and bring market intelligence and innovations for the relevant categories.
- Negotiate, create and manage framework agreements, oversee supplier performance, and resolve performance issues.
- Ensure business continuity and supply of indirect materials for production, by purchasing materials with SAP according to technical specifications, prices, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Trace and monitor purchase orders and effectively communicate with internal stakeholders about availability, order lead time, and order status.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and compliance with the procurement strategy.
- Create and manage procurement contracts for awarded suppliers.

Your background
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or another related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience, including strategic purchasing.
- Strong technical affinity, and experience with procurement of industrial goods & services in indirect procurement (facility management, HSE, tooling/equipment).
- Strong negotiation skills & contracting skills, as well as a hands-on mentality.
- Ability to present data and conclusions from analyses in an organized, clear, and concise manner.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in internal stakeholder management.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office (e.g.Excel, Powerpoint) and confident handling of SAP.
- Fluency in English and German.
